While popular destinations such as Turkey, Greece, Egypt and Tunisia have particularly suffered, so have exotic long-haul destinations. People are therefore looking more closely at nearby destinations. Although Austria’s desire to travel is undaunted and many still want to travel abroad, the domestic tourism industry is catching up. After all, 90 percent of the 1,000 Austrian respondents are planning at least one holiday trip in 2016. The increasingly popular short getaways lead to locations within Austria’s red and white borders because, interestingly, the trend of pure beach and bath travel is progressively giving way to active holidays. The development of higher quality holiday enjoyment continues according to the forecasts. And Austria has well-known and countless paradisiacal discoveries to offer!!
