Consumers are increasingly paying attention to the origin of food, especially in the hospitality industry. Thus, regional ingredients of local specialties can lead to an additional attractive feature for guests. The province of Salzburger Land has therefore created its own seal of origin. After all, about 60 percent of the products come from organic production – another plus that is important to more and more guests and should be conveyed accordingly. Tourism head Leo Bauernberger already sees important synergies between agriculture and tourism. These would be reinforced with a “Salzburger Land” certificate of origin.
