    As the temperatures are rising, guests are looking to sit outside. Especially in the coastal areas of the world, people now want to be able to rely on stable and robust umbrella solutions. Just like in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, and the Bar d'O, one of our latest projects.

    The North Sea coast is not exactly known for tropical conditions: Often strong winds blow, the weather can change relatively quickly, and long sunny phases in between create a lot of heat. Individual conditions that call for an individual concept.

    In order to offer its guests a special stay in a relaxed beach bar atmosphere with simultaneous protection from wind and weather, Bar d'O in the coastal town of Knokke-Heist commissioned an all-round concept. And that's exactly what we installed there – twice in 2019 and no less than five times this year: 

    • Seven pieces of MV umbrellas, four of them in the format 6.5 x 6.5 meters, two in the format 7.5 x 6.5 meters and one in the format 6.5 x 5 meters
    • An extra deep buried steel plate to provide indispensable fixation on the beach
    • "Wind package" design covering: everything reinforced, additional joint protection, stiffened flounces, additional Velcro fasteners and stainless steel components to exclude rusting due to proximity to the sea
    • Pull up protective covers

    Beach bar guests can now find a particularly pleasant retreat: on hot days our solution provides protection from the sun, while sudden showers, thunderstorms or strong winds do not cause any problems.
