Would you like to offer your guests a cosy place under Meissl umbrellas even in autumn and winter thanks to the integrated heating? Then you also need good lighting. Look forward to a new addition to the Meissl portfolio: Discreet and modern light strips built into the umbrella rungs, in all desired RGB colours of course. Our technical manager Wolfgang Unterlerchner explains the advantages as follows: “In terms of design, the idea of integrating the lighting as part of the shade as invisibly as possible played a major role. Previously, the lighting was placed on the rungs as a foreign body. The new solution now also fits perfectly with the future Meissl design language, which is characterised by flowing, smooth surfaces that are no longer interrupted by anything and make the shade appear as if it were cast from a single source. A qualitative advantage is that the omission of the attached LED profiles and their sharp edges minimises the risk of damaging the covering when closed. And in terms of price, integrating the aluminium support into the rung profile saves costs, which we pass on to you, our customers, through more affordable lighting options.” In total, the integral lighting took six months to develop. It has been available since September 2022 and could now make all the difference in lighting for you too!
