The GITSCHhütte umbrella bar: A year-round visitor magnet

Projects

In the outdoor area of the GITSCHhütte - in the alm and ski region of Gitschberg Jochtal - visitors can expect a prime example of a totally successful Meissl umbrella bar in an attractive wooden design.

The GITSCHhütte is located at the foot of the Gitschberg, the local mountain of the South Tyrolean plateau in Meransen. Reachable via numerous hiking trails or comfortably with the Gitschberg cable car, the GITSCHhütte is an attractive destination for a successful stop in winter as well as in summer. Especially since a large umbrella bar by Meissl has made the GITSCHhütte a popular attraction in the immediate vicinity. Operator Meinrad Unterkirchner is convinced that his decision to build an umbrella bar during Lockdown was spot on. Because with a covered area of 64 m2 he has thus comfortably created space for 90 to 100 more guests. He comments, “Of course, it's an investment at first. But we definitely wanted an outdoor bar in après lounge style for our viewing platform with its sensational view, but also to liven up this otherwise somewhat sleepy area. We succeeded. With its windbreaks, the umbrella bar can be adapted very flexibly to the weather and is our absolute guest magnet all year round!”

No wonder, because the Meissl Schirmbar not only has a sophisticated and successful model functionally, but this also visually. A bar in an extra-beautiful wooden design with the wooden slatted look and matching bar stools literally invite you to enjoy the daily freshly cooked delicacies and equally refreshing wines from the region here all year round. “We are overjoyed with what Meissl planned and built for us here within just 3 months. Everything went perfectly to plan.” Thank you, Mr Unterkirchner!
